You saw Clay's post, right? There was a dragon attack yesterday, and I got sorta-kinda wrapped up in the whole thing. I'm not hurt [anymore], but a lot of my friends were, so Dr. Crusher and I've been looking after them.

Do y'all need help? I can send over some of my potions.

Thanks, but uh, no, we'll be fine. Dr. Crusher's not big on the magic stuff.

[He's had enough trouble with apple gels, and that's just jell-o. Stefan's afraid to throw anything else into the mix.]

Out of curiosity, what kind of potions were you thinking of?

[Good call, Stefan. And Misty's been around Beverly enough in the gardens to not be offended.]

It just helps skin and bones regrow, stuff like that.

No kidding? Think I could watch next time you're making one of those?

[Beverly might not be all about the magic, but Stefan's had a lifelong fascination with their abilities. He's even letting awe slip into his voice because um holy crap. Potions?? Sign him up.]

'Course you can! They really aren't all that fancy though. Not like Miss Cordelia can do.

I don't know. From where I'm standing, they sound pretty fancy to me.

Just don't want you to get your expectations up too much. There's a lot of trial and error since I don't have any potion books. But Vision's been helping me with it too.

Ah, but that just means you're approaching it all scientifically. [beat] Is Vision a witch too?

[mistyday]

[That gets a laugh.]

You know he ain't. He's just been teachin' me about the scientific method. Or reteachin' me, I guess, but can't say I ever really learned it properly in the first place.

Actually, I didn't. [Cue the nervous laugh.] You've talked about him, but I've never actually met the guy.

I'm glad he's helping, though. That method should come in handy for a lot of things.

[mistyday]

What!?

[Obviously the people she loves all have to know each other! This must be fixed!]

You have to meet Vision. He's so smart and patient and oh, he's the best teacher ever! 'Cept for Miss Cordelia of course.

[stefanged]

[He can't quite help laughing - her enthusiasm and praise is contagious!]

Okay, okay. I'll see what I can do, but I'm sure he's an even busier man than I am.

[Right. She sobers up at that, reminded of why he called in the first place.]

Well, whenever you have time - after everything's calmed down.

[Gently:] I always have time for you.

The good doc needs me right now since she can't see half her patients, but I promise, the second things calm down, I'll call you again.

I know. [He always makes her feel very loved.] Make sure you take care of yourself too.
